My small contribution to embrace freedom of speech, and promote my photos and thoughts, things of interest and interesting internet finds.

I started this blog about 6 months ago when one the largest opportunities for political change in Scotland had been refused. Since then, it looks like we may get another chance to implement some greater political change for ourselves and the UK during GE15, especially with the SNP's post referendum popularity.

However the changes I'm focusing on, more recently have been personal. The primary one since the new year has been to improve my health and fitness, to a large part it seems to be going reasonably well. I have always found quotes interesting and motivational, the often quoted Mahatma Gandhi probably needs no introduction.

“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake ourselves.”

If you change yourself you will change your world. If you change how you think then you will change how you feel and what actions you take. And so the world around you will change. Not only because you are now viewing your environment through new lenses of thoughts and emotions but also because the change within can allow you to take action in ways you wouldn’t have – or maybe even have thought about – while stuck in your old thought patterns.

"Some people cross your path and then change your whole direction."

As a newcomer to the era of Bitcoin, I found today's articles on Techcrunch very interesting, I still don't understand it, but I certainly back the philosophy. And once you get past the geeky exterior its a surprisingly simple to use currency, and as we continue to try and exist in this unsustainable economic climate, its a breathe of fresh air. "This is why I like Bitcoin: say what you like about it, such as that you want it to “die in a fire” because it’s a libertarian conspiracy, it is genuinely weird, disruptive, and potentially dangerous to the status quo."

A few days left to watch the Oscar winning documentary Citizen four: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/citizenfour/on-demand

I posted about this site a few months ago https://protonmail.ch/ well I have finally got my invite and along with a friend of mine who subscribed at the same time, have started using this service. I thought I would post the link again to try and encourage some others to sign up, especially if you are using one of the big web email services who read all your emails to better target you with advertising. Seems a brilliant email service so far, brilliantly secure with automatic encryption between users of proton mail, simple to use and a nice design.

Ooo.. Set your calendars people. Not only is it the Spring Equinox on March the 20th, but also a total solar eclipse. For those in the Highlands, maximum is at 9.39AM with magnitude 95% obscuration. It blooming well better be a clear sky.

I am left wondering – do they think we are idiots or are they in fact the idiots.
